Description
The Champion Wine Garden at the Houston Livestock Show and RodeoTM is a popular destination that grows each and every year. We are pleased to offer reservation opportunities within the Garden for your party. We offer table reservations for smaller groups and tent reservations for larger groups. The link to the reservation site is https://2017cwreservations.eventbrite.com. Please read the below details and FAQ’s carefully before making your reservation.
To make a table or tent reservation on behalf of an HLSR volunteer committee, please contact the Wine Show at wine@rodeohouston.com or 832.667.1128 to discuss rental opportunities. Committee reservations should not be made through this online website.
TABLES:
Twenty (20) tables located near the Founder's Tent are available for reservation. This area offers a view of the band, is close to the restrooms, and has its own bar. This is a covered area and protected from the rain. Table reservations are $50 each and can accommodate up to 6 guests. For parties larger than six (6), please reserve two or more tables and the tables will be assigned together. No more than (4) four tables are permitted in a single order. The reservation fee is for the table only; wine may be purchased separately from a hostess once you arrive.
Tables are reserved from 4 - 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2 – 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. If all members of your party leave the table before 9 p.m., the reservation will be forfeited and seating will be offered to other guests. Table reservations will not be held after 9 p.m.
There are no exchanges or returns on table reservations so please purchase carefully. And it is highly advisable to read all of the FAQ listed below before purchasing.
TENTS:
Three (3) tents are available for private party space. Tent reservations are available between the hours of 4 – 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2 – 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. If all members of the party leave the tent before 9 p.m., the reservation will be forfeited and seating will be offered to other guests. Tent reservations will not be held after 9 p.m.
As with the tables, there are no exchanges or returns, so please purchase carefully. Please read all of the FAQ listed below before purchasing.
The Stuart Lang Tent holds approximately 65 guests standing and 45 guests sitting. The tent is located to the right as you enter the Champion Wine Garden. It is not in line of sight of the Champion Wine Garden Main Stage, however, the music will be able to be heard. The tent has a closer proximity to the Acoustic Stage which will be programmed Thursday through Sunday each week, except for Sunday, March 19. The cost for this tent is $300.
The Wine Education Seminar Tent holds approximately 65 guests standing and 45 guests sitting. The tent is located to the right as you enter the Champion Wine Garden and is not in the line of sight of the live band. While this tent is in a quieter area of the Garden, guests will be able to hear the music from the Acoustic Stage which will be programmed Thursday through Sunday each week, except for Sunday, March 19. The cost for this tent is $300.
The Sponsor Tent can accommodate approximately 30 guests standing and 20 guests sitting. This tent is located to the right as you enter the Champion Wine Garden and is not in the line of sight of the live band. The cost for this tent is $250.
Tents are available for private entertaining purposes only. Access to the tents may not be resold in the form of tickets, sponsorships or other types of admission fees. Guests are permitted to pitch in together to host a joint social event.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? There are no age limits to enter the Champion Wine Garden or the seminars; however, guests must be 21 years old to drink wine anywhere in the Champion Wine Garden or the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo grounds.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? The Champion Wine Garden is inside the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo grounds. Admission and parking information can be found on www.rodeohouston.com. Guests to the grounds must purchase a separate ticket to enter. This is not included in the price of the Champion Wine Garden reservation.
What can/can't I bring to the event? The Champion Wine Garden is located at Carruth Plaza in NRG Park. Therefore, the ground rules stated on www.rodeohouston.com apply to the Champion Wine Garden. It is a good idea to check the weather to ensure appropriate dress.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable? You may give anyone your confirmation but you cannot transfer it online and it must be used for the same date/time/space.
Do I have to bring my printed confirmation to the Champion Wine Garden? Yes, this helps us ensure you gain access to your reserved area in a quick and efficient manner. If you forget to print your tickets, we will have a list of those we are expecting.
What is the refund policy? There are no refunds once the reservation is purchased.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay? Yes, if someone has given a third party their reservation information, it will be accepted at the hostess stand.
Can I select my reserved table ahead of time? No. Guests are permitted to select their table once they arrive at the hostess stand on the day of the reservation.
What happens at 9 pm when our reservation is officially over? Guests are welcome to stay and enjoy tables or tents up to the time the Champion Wine Garden closes that night. However, if the reserved table or tent is vacated, the reservation will no longer be held. This policy applies even if guests leave to go into the RodeoHouston performance in NRG Stadium.
Where is the Hostess Stand? Inside the Champion Wine Garden near the Founder’s Tent. Please look for signs or ask any of our volunteers wearing an apron.
May I sit at my table or tent early on Saturday and Sundays? Yes, on Saturday and Sunday, access to reserved tables or tents is available beginning at 2 p.m.
Can I share the tent reservation fee with other guests? Reservation costs may be shared among other guests of the table or tent. However, only one credit card will be accepted upon payment of reservation.
Can I sell admission to my wine seminar? No, selling tickets or admission to an event within the reserved space, such as a private wine seminar, is not permitted. The space my not be resold for profit.
What about food - who will help me? Cheese or charcuterie trays are available for purchase. These must be ordered at least 3 days in advance. The concierge team is happy to put you in touch with any of the food vendors on the grounds during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, however, guests will need to organize the order and delivery directly. Guests are also welcome to bring outside food, however, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo cannot arrange for transportation of these items from the delivery vehicle, nor do we offer food serving items or plates, etc. Please plan ahead for your event if you choose to bring in food.
What food is served in the Champion Wine Garden? Cheese and charcuterie trays, as well as 20oz bottled water are offered for sale in the Champion Wine Garden. Additionally, numerous food exhibitors are located throughout the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo grounds offering many diverse cuisines.
I have a guest that drinks beer. Can I bring in beer or soft drinks? Yes, you may purchase a beer or frozen beverage from another vendor at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and bring it inside of the Champion Wine Garden. Guests are not permitted to bring beer or other alcohol into the Rodeo grounds. Soft drinks are not available for sale inside of the Champion Wine Garden but may be purchased from any vendor on the grounds or brought from home.
Can I move the tables and chairs around in the tent I have rented? Yes, it is okay to move around tables and chairs as long as they don't get damaged by weather or neglect. We have limited capabilities when comes to providing you certain number of chairs, types of tables and set up in tents. Please understand that the Wine Garden Committee will make a best effort to accommodate reasonable requests.
I just ordered another reserved table. How can I ensure that this table gets put next to my previously reserved tables? While not guaranteed, the Wine Garden Committee will make a best effort to place tables together upon request.
What if I want to reserve multiple tents and the open area space in between the tents? There doesn't seem to be a place to make that reservation? This requires an email/phone call to work through the details. The Champion Wine Garden is a very popular destination during the Rodeo., and it is often difficult to get large reserved parties into the Garden without an impact on the experience of other guests. What happens if it rains? The Show must go on! Through rain, wind, and storms (luckily no snow yet) the Champion Wine Garden remains open. Remember, there are no refunds so we hope you still come out and experience the Champion Wine Garden!
